The Almanac
Your intake

Before we start, a proper hello.

Most apps ask for an email and chuck you in. We are not most apps. What you tell us here is how we hold you safely when things get heavy. Five minutes. You can edit any of this later.

Anything you mark sensitive stays between you and Matt. Nobody outside the people you name in this form gets contacted, ever, without your consent.

Step 1 of 7

About you.

The basics. So when we ring or message we have got the right person.

Step 2 of 7

Your health.

Tick what fits. Skip what does not. We use this to set the voice and the pace, not to label you.

Step 3 of 7

The hard question.

We have to ask. It is how we know whether to stay close or let you breathe. There are no wrong answers and no judgement.

No shame. We need to know so we can be useful. Voluntary.

Step 4 of 7

What sets you off, and what brings you back.

Tell me in your own words. There are no right answers. Even half a sentence helps.

Step 5 of 7

Two people we are allowed to call.

If you go quiet for longer than your threshold (next step), we want to know who to ring. Pick people who actually answer their phone.

Step 6 of 7

How long should we wait before we worry?

If you go silent, this is the order of who hears about it and when. You set the dials.

A gentle nudge in your chat. No alarm.

Matt is the human behind The Almanac. He is the next layer.

Only if you ticked the consent box on the previous page.

Only as a last resort, with prior consent.

Step 7 of 7

Two small promises.

Not contracts. Just things that make this work better, for you and for us.

If you are in crisis right now:
Samaritans 116 123, free, 24/7, no judgement.
SHOUT text 85258 for text-based support.
999 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
These are always here. The Almanac sits alongside them, not instead of them.

You are in.

We have you. Your bot is now active and we will look after you the way you have asked us to.

You can edit any of this any time by saying "update intake" in your bot.

Everything you carry.
